I 'd give this restaurant 4 ½ stars if I could, but we love it. Quibbles: The very large The Choice sign on one wall pretending it 's part of the decor doesn 't work. While friendly, smiling, efficient and attentive, our server seemed in high gear all the time and so never really present; if she 'd had a slightly smaller work load, she could have given us that personal touch that defines the best service. We ordered 5 items; 3 were outstanding, one was quite good, and one, fish wrapped in potato, was just ok; we wouldn 't order that again. Still we really love this restaurant. We chose this restaurant for my husband's 50th birthday dinner and although the food was very good, our overall experience was not very impressive. I believe our waitress was the hostess and there was one other waitress, so clearly they were understaffed. We had to ask our waitress/hostess to open our bottle of wine and after she opened it she put the bottle on the table without pouring our glasses. I then had to ask her for an ice bucket for our white wine. She gave no suggestions until I asked. My crab and artichoke was very good and my husband had the foi gras which was very good also. For my entree I ordered the Striped bass with bok choy.. it was a bit salty but good. My husband ordered...
The food at the choice is exceptionally good and the menu has tons of great choices for appetizers and entrees. I love fish and there were a ton of great options. My only critique is that the ambiance could be improved. The lights are a little bright and could be dimmer, there could be music playing etc. Overall I would definitely recommend the Choice.
As always, food impeccably prepared by Chef Vlod and wonderfully presented and served by the superb team. Such a joy to eat here.
