Heard great things about this place, upon arrival that is. When we were waiting for our table, not even 5 minutes after opening, the older brunette woman, assuming she's the chef/owner in the back was yelling and swearing at our sweet considerate waitress, because she was out of hash and ham. I've been in customer service for years and I am appalled by how the chef spoke to her! Family or not, there is a right and wrong way to speak to someone in a work setting and her way was extremely uncalled for and extremely unprofessional. We took our daughter out to dinner for a celebration and she only requested to go somewhere in Virginia City but didn't pick a restaurant. We got up there tonight and looked at google maps and on a whim found this absolute gem of a place! The food was so good and the waiter, while working his tail off, was still friendly and had great communication letting us know often that he'd be right back with this or that. The ambiance was wonderful and we will definitely be back. The cider bread was a perfect appetizer and the parmesan crusted chicken was delicious. Definitely call ahead and make reservations. I have visited this restaurant for the second time while on an excursion. On both occasions, I enjoyed great meals in a lovely setting. The service was friendly, but as with many small restaurants, it could be a bit slow, so it may not be the best choice for someone in a hurry. However, if you want to relax and enjoy a beer or some wine in the garden or unique old building, then you should definitely give it a try. The prices are reasonable, with meals costing between $10 and $20 per person. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere as a perfect 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying their Cider Bread.

We had a wonderful dining experience at a quaint little restaurant in Virginia City, Nevada! The food was amazing - I enjoyed the shrimp scampi and my husband had the best rib eye steak that was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be returning here in the future! I would give it 5 stars!
