We didn't stay here but the lodges with hot tubs look amazing. We had excellent food and our server was absolutely lovely. It is a shame the large house is derelict, it would be a marvellous location for weddings etc. Nearby activities: You need to drive or be a happy hiker but you are so close to Hadrian's wall, vindolanda and numerous other roman sites. Our two-night stay at this restaurant was amazing. Located in a wooded area with beautiful views, the clean rooms were more than satisfactory. The host, Paul, was exceptional. He was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that my partner and I received top-notch service throughout our stay. It was truly fantastic.
