I will never understand why staff are rude to their customers that are super friendly???? Face like thunder the second we walked in, did not crack a smile the whole time we were there, everything was an effort for her. The cafe was deadly silent, no music, no customers, felt dull and boring. When you order some toast, all you get is a slice of bread cut in half that’s already got a tiny slithering of butter on it. Maybe two slices??? Maybe let the customer put the butter on? I saw the chef come out and just throw peoples food in front of them and walk off. Weird place, weird vibes, won’t be going back…
We visited this restaurant as a group of four for a late breakfast on a whim. There were many options available to accommodate our varied breakfast preferences, as well as plenty of other choices if we had wanted them. The coffee was freshly made, the food was delicious, and the service was very friendly. There were also a variety of homemade cakes displayed by the counter. We all had a great experience and enjoyed our visit. Additionally, there is free parking for up to two hours in the car park located just outside the restaurant.
I had previously spoken highly of this restaurant to my partner and had not visited in about 2 years. We found a table as soon as we entered and sat down, only to be informed by a waitress that the table was already claimed. There were no cups or any indication that someone was sitting there. We were both taken aback by her attitude. There was another empty table with only one chair, but she did not offer to bring another chair for us to sit at that table. Unfortunately, this experience has discouraged us from returning.
I decided to try out an independent coffee shop instead of the Costa next door. The staff was friendly, the coffee was great, and they had a nice variety of cakes. However, there was a bit of a wait for my order even though it wasn't crowded. Unfortunately, I had to sit outside because they weren't dog friendly. The restroom and washbasin area were very dirty.

Terrible went in there asked partner what he wanted was going to give order over counter lady said sit down il take your order waited fifteen minuets in that time she ignored us was cleaning tables no other customers we walked out she said sorry
Good choice of food and it's lovely that an independent cafe has managed to survive despite a Costa being opened close by. It shows that people like having options and that Jansel Square continues to serve its local community
Ample free parking outside, tucked away in a suburb. Accommodated our requests, tasty full English breakfast customised to what we wanted. Great berry smoothie. Would have been a five rating as just wanted more.
Very long wait which ruined my mood and start to the day...they are probably understaffed??? Almost walked out.
