There was ample parking around 1.30pm. My friends and I entered the restaurant. I was warned it would be a little dark inside. We did not book a meal but we were taken to a table near a window. The staff were very helpful and soon took our orders for drinks. The drinks were quickly delivered. The menus were on the table so meals were ordered. I was surprised how soon our meals were delivered. During our wait for the meals i noticed a constant trickle of people on their way to the restaurant. Two of us ordered home made steak pie with chips, mushy peas and a thick gravy. When the meal was delivered there was a small jug of extra, thick gravy. Managed to get a table at late notice which was good. Table was small for 4 persons and dogs were allowed in which sadly for daughter was not great as she’s terrified of them. Service was fine and meal arrived quickly. The menu online is not the menu offered on a Sunday as prices are more expensive than online. (Said £6.95/7.95 and upward online) Still for £9.95 not a bad Sunday lunch price however you really don’t get a lot of food. We got one bowl of veg between 4 plenty carrots, cauliflower and cabbage but not a lot of turnip 3 spoons and it was gone. A separate bowl of mushy peas. We did not get a lot of meat and one person had only a few shredded pieces on their plate and small spoonful...

Booked for afternoon tea and weren’t disappointed it was so good all of us had to bring some home with us as you get so much. The sausage rolls and the quiche were amazing. I spoke to someone before we came and said I wanted to bring one home as my daughter was staying at home to look after our Cockapoo they said being the Cockapoo so we did. Peggy even got some lovely roast beef from the waitress. Def recommend if anyone is looking for a lovely afternoon tea they have them the first Friday and Saturday of the month.

What a lovely little find. The menu was vast and prices very reasonable. We had the honey chicken and a special cheesy/chorizo cod and lemon meringue cheesecake and cookie dough. Food was so tasty and massive portions. They offered half rice and half chips as well on the mains as an option. Service was excellent and staff all friendly. Will definitely return.

1st time here. Great welcome , food as good as I have had for some time. Service very attentive. Price wise very reasonable , portion size just right for me. Definitely will return. The only negative thing hence knocking a mark off I could find was the toilet wasn't to the same standard as the rest of my experience.

We had 2 evening meals here last week and they were fabulous. Our food was beautifully cooked, plenty of choice and served with such smiles and warmth. The staff are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us…thank you. We would highly recommend this wonderful pub for the excellent food and service.

Enjoyed three fabulous meals at the Copper Mine while on holiday in the area. Could not fault the meals and service at all, really impressed by the focus of the owner and staff at all times. Easy to see why they always seem to be busy!

Just been to The Coppermine again for lunch with my friend Pat and my family. The service is excellent and the food delicious as always. Such a friendly pub. One of my favourite. I would recommend anytime. Liz

We went for my Mum's birthday. It was a surprise meal. The staff were amazing and the food was beautiful. I even got take out pudding to bring home to Leeds. Highyl recommend.
