The Cottage Cafe, Bakery Tea Room

I had read about this restaurant on line and sounded like a nice place for breakfast. But did not turn out to be true. We were seated inside and there was no one else in the restaurant at 9am. Not a good sign. Then there must have been 100 dead flies in the windowsills where we were seated. This is when we should have left. However, I asked the waiter to please clean the flies from the windowsills and he did but not happy about it. We ordered food and received mostly cold and burnt toast. We mentioned all this to the waiter and he offered to heat it, but we said no. Didn’t think it would be much better. We paid and left. It was a terrible experience.

If you are looking for a lovely place to have a sip of tea and a pastry (or something to eat then this is the place for you. Be sure to ask for the TEA MENU (yes they have a separate menu just for tea and it is wonderful! . You can get your own little pot of tea and they have probably 60+ different flavors. I usually just get a pastry to match my tea, and their pastries are fresh and excellent. I have heard that the food is excellent as well. The atmosphere is cozy and

The Cottage is a great Sunday brunch location. It was very busy but we were seated right away, the service was excellent and the food was divine. We had the seafood scramble and corned beef hash. We also tried the cake which was also delicious. There is street parking so grab a space and walk up. Brunch was a little pricey but worth the food and the service.

This dog friendly little casa is a must see. The Cottage itself is charming and the outdoor porch dining allows for some sunshine and people watching. The coffee is always tasty, the specials always intriguing, and bakery always full of worth while indulgences. It?s a place with a lot of personality that I always look forward to coming back to. Great little place in downtown bluffton. Good food. Service could use some help . Place seems to be run by teenagers and it shows. Our meal for two arrive on at time . I ask for refill my coffee at 1:35 , unfortunately it was already dumped, even though they're open until 2pm . It's unfortunate Service: Dine in

The Corned Beef Hash is spot on! So is their homemade **** Mary. I had the regular and the dill. The atmosphere and the service are excellent as well. We have been here many times for lunch, nothing short of perfection each time...finally tried it for breakfast last week and were absolutely not disappointed! Service was friendly as usual, outdoor seating comfortable (even on a hot day! ...and the egg scramble was delicious, hit the spot!

Went to Cottage Cafe, Bakery and Tea Room today and it was great! I had Shrimp and Grits with a nice side salad. Dessert was a strawberry and coconut cake. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious! The service was outstanding! I will be back soon!
