Under new management, and killing it. I was a little worried when I heard someone else bought the place under new management, but I have to say, I think they 're even better. It 's comical to read my original review. This place has been a staple for me and it is a true gem in this community and town. I am so grateful it exists, and here 's why. The subs are still excellent. Note: as of this writing they do not so hot subs on the weekend, only cold. I wish they did amd hope they will soon. I rarely give 4-star ratings, as a place has to be truly exceptional to earn it, and this restaurant definitely deserves it! My only complaint is that their chicken salad (the mixed kind with mayo, not the green salad) is so incredibly delicious that they frequently run out of it. The steak and cheese subs are fantastic, and the chicken, bacon, and ranch sub is outstanding (though I'm not sure if it’s officially on the menu). They also offer fresh soup all year round. I occasionally buy chicken breasts, hamburgers, and steaks here as well. This place changed ownership just recently and the new owners are wonderful. I don't do a lot of reviews but this place is great if you are looking for a GREAT sandwich or sub. Great chili too!!!They also have a beautiful selection of beef and fresh seafood! Here is my scale of 5-10 on the sandwich/ subs, soup that I have had. I do wish they invested in a high speed oven toaster because I love toasted Italian subs. But non the less I highly recommend!! I used to rave about the country Butcher. Today however I got a Brisket sub it was completely dried out a bit over salty too. $9.00 down the drain. UPDATE: 4/10/21 Roast beef sub did NOT taste like boar's Head quality (like it used to! nor did it have the same texture at all.. I'm completely disappointed I think I'm done.

Unassuming building but spectacular contents. Freshly sliced deli meats that are of the highest quality. We stopped by to aid in our staycation efforts to enjoy a charcuterie board and were able to get a number of meats. Excited to go back to this gem in town!
Everything here is exceptional, including the friendly staff. The chili is the best I've ever tasted. The subs are packed with meat and the rolls are fresh. Finally, the filets are fantastic and fairly priced. I’ll definitely be coming back every week!
Awesome subs! Best steak and cheese I've had in years. It is easy to miss if you're driving by, however, we turned around and glad we did. Definitely must try it! We will be back again with a cooler to buy meat to bring home.
I absolutely adore this restaurant. The staff is friendly, and the meats are exquisite. They also offer fresh, amazing sandwiches and the best cookies I've ever tasted.

I've sampled the meatballs, turkey, grilled chicken, and several other dishes! Every time, I find something delicious to enjoy.
The cornbread here is the best I’ve ever tasted! I was amazed to see lamb chop dinners for just $9.95. Wow!
