Thought I would try this restaurant based on previous reviews. Was greeted as soon as I walked in and was told I could sit where I liked. Server was very pleasant and cheerful and supplied me with the specials list and menu. She took my drink order as well. Restaurant has a combination of booths and tables as well as an outside seating area. Sat inside at a table. Restaurant is on the dark side even with having picture windows at the front. There's a large bar area as well. And if you're a fan of country western music you'll feel right at home. Ordered the giant pretzel and the rib eye steak sandwich with sweet potato fries. Now, about the food: I started with the seared tuna and then had the fish and chips. The seared tuna was decent; the sear was perfectly done, but it lacked flavor. It was topped with a drizzle of wasabi mayo, which was very mild despite its bright green color. Given the tuna's subtle taste, the mayo really shouldn't have overpowered it anyway. Moving on to the fish and chips, I found the fish to be quite nice. The breading was wonderfully light, crispy, and airy, but, once again, the flavor of the fish itself was a bit hard to detect beneath the coating. It wasn’t greasy and had a lovely golden color. Nice stop for lunch if you're in Charlestown, just not if you're in a rush. It took about 35-40 minutes for our food to come out when we ordered and there weren't many people here. The sweet potato fries were phenomenal- totally recommend. The burger was good (random note but the cheese is thick- my friend liked that and I did not so do with that what you will). Yummy though! They have a cute outdoor area to sit if that's your vibe! Inside is a little dark but we sat by a window so we got some natural light. The AC was really nice though. Service was fine, but it took a while to get seated, to get our food, and to get our check.
We were looking for a place to go after the first day of the soccer tournament. This place was not too far so we decided to try it. It was busy so we had a 20 minute wait before being seated. It's a nice place, nicely done decorations. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. Food ticket times were very good considering the amount of people there. New place NEW town. We are spending the weekend in the area and we wanted to try this new place. I have to admit I wasn't pleased with the waiting time, 45 minutes its a little to long for anybody but OH BOY! It was worth the wait? YESSSS. Our waitress was so sweet and so helpful. And the food? YUMMM . fresh and a good size portion. No wonder why this place was so busy, they also have a nice back patio where they play nice music with a karaoke. Loved it
I visited for the first time on July 4th and had a great experience. The stuffed clams were delicious, and the clam strips and fried fish came in generous portions. It’s definitely a good value for the money. Sonny, our server, was fantastic—very attentive and pleasant to chat with.
