The Crew Yard Cafe Bistro

A hidden gem in a beautiful environment. The menu changes seasonal and is converted to local ingredients so that not everything is always available. This was also the case with our visit and the cook himself came to discuss possible vegan options for us, which was so beautiful and respectful. While the menu appears simple, don't be fooled. That was one of the best dishes I've eaten for years. I order a burger with a salad and the whole dish was amazing. The quality of the ingredients is the highest quality and the way the cook was seasoned from this planet. The dessert was just as delicious, the service was very polite and friendly and the prices for such great food are really fair. If I'd live closer, I'd like to eat every day at the Bistro Crew Yard.

We were here several times for breakfast and lunch (including Christmas dinner). The food is amazing. There are many vegan options and they are always imaginative (not your run of mill type stuff). Only negative is the tricky wheelchair access (you have to approach either via the paved courtyard or into a back door (opened by the staff as it is a fire exit) on rough ground). Apart from that, it is brittle and highly recommended!

handmade burger was juicy, tasty and accompanied by a delicious salad and dressing. Ploughman’s was lush with happy salad, pickles and chutney really delicious. ham has cooked perfectly. what's wrong with you.

nice eating and friendly staff. stops for Sunday breakfast, excellent quality with yorkshire tee. very interesting antique shop. could not go without buying anything.
