For country pub B&B, this maybe as good as it gets; needing to divest ourselves of the usual stresses of London, we were thrilled to discover The Crown Inn is secreted away in glorious countryside, and at the centre of a charming hamlet, yet still easily accessible to must-see places such as Tenterden, Rye and Sissinghurst. Owner chef Nikki Conrath greeted us warmly, and showed us to our bedroom; it is at once obvious that a lot of care and thought have gone into the restoration and fresh decoration of this place, not least the super beds, en suite bathrooms and luxurious linen, which make it very comfortable, but not fussy. Had a lovely meal for my birthday last night at The Crown Inn . Was the first time we had been and were very impressed not only with the quality of the food but also the friendly knowledgeable staff who were obviously very enthusiastic about the dishes they were serving. The chef coming out to chat with the guests is a great touch too lovely to see someone who cares passionately about whether the diners are liking what they are eating or not. We'll definitely be back :0

We loved ataying at The Crown. Everything was perfect; from the giant, cozy bed, to the yummy breakfasts, to the exceptional dinners. The Crown is a treasure!
