The pub is trying hard with corvid practices. Friendly welcome. Quick service . We had the intentions of having starter, main and dessert. Good choice of ales and lager. Starters came promptly. Chicken gougon with sweet chilli was tasty and good quality. Mushroom soup was fine and the Yorkshire puddings with plain or onion gravey were nice. Mains initially looked a little disappointing. But extra plates of veg and cauliflour cheese filled in the gaps. Again bearing in mind the price. It was a substantial and filling meal. Tasty and well cooked. In fact we didn't have a dessert simply because we were full and we would have been forcing it in. I would be happy to recommend this venue.
I live very local to the crown and it was devastating to see it under its previous landlords, fear not, Karen and Michael are now in charge and already I can’t begin to tell you how impressed I am, homemade food and fresh tasting beer the live affair with the crown has returned! The atmosphere is incredibly relaxed and the young girl who was serving on our last visit couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. Due to work I don’t get anywhere near as often as I wish I could, but come summer I’ll be enjoying a pint most evenings
We recently had our Christmas gathering at The Crown tonight. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. We opted for the Christmas menu, which offered a good variety of choices. The service was outstanding and the staff were fantastic. Thank you very much. Unfortunately, we didn't stay as long as we wanted to because it was very cold in the room we were in, which was disappointing.
We came as a group of friends to the Crown on recommendation of a work colleague... and we were NOT disappointed... the staff are very welcoming and attentive.. the menu, although pared down a little due to Covid restrictions was still varied enough to have a nice choice.. and the prices are amazing... quality and presentation excellent... couldn't fault anything...

Went for a drink with a group of friends, I ordered my drinks, and then got asked again what I was drinking, alas I still didn’t receive my order. My group of friends were on their second order and I was left empty handed despite asking twice! Customer service is Rubbish, I can’t abide poor service so I left. You have lost a customer Crown Inn!
We had a gammon meal chicken tikka massallah. Nicely presented. Friendly service. We waited 20 minutes for freshly cooked food. The John Smiths bitter was very good. Photos of food are available. This is our first visit since before the first Lockdown. New management to whom we wish the very best. Thank you.
We hadn't dined at this restaurant since Roger departed, but it feels like we're back in the good old days. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the ale is excellent. The staff is friendly and accommodating, just like it used to be. We highly recommend this place, thank you.
We tried the gammon steaks with chips, tomato, pineapple, egg and peas. It was delicious, one of the best we've had. The restaurant was very clean and we also enjoyed a nice pint of John Smiths bitter beer. Thank you for the warm welcome.

Visited the crown as a group of 8 last night. The food was excellant and such good value for money. The landlord and landlady were brilliant and couldnt do enough for us. We will definately be going again.
