We were a diverse group of eight adults (including two individuals with medical conditions), two children, a baby, and a dog. We were accommodated in a lovely private room and from the moment we made the reservation until we departed, we were thoroughly impressed. The staff were friendly and courteous, providing excellent service. Despite being seated in a secluded area, they regularly checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed and the timing between courses was just right. We had an excellent lunch with our family today. The weather was nice, so we sat at a table outside, facing the church. Two friendly ladies provided us with table service. We each chose different dishes for our three-course meal, all of which were delicious. My scotch egg starter had a freshly made, soft yolk. My main dish of whole plaice with hassle back potatoes was fresh and tasty, although there was perhaps too much "brown" butter on the plate for my liking. The side of veggies was steamed to perfection. For dessert, we enjoyed Affogato with Amaretto, which had a biscuit crumb at the bottom for added texture. Met up with two friends for lunch. Tasty food, excellent service and reasonable price. Had to share pudding as quite big and full from mains course. Staff keen to please and very accommodating, Big 'E ' was lovely. Would recommend.
