Our family had a wonderful meal at the Darling Oyster Bar this evening. Our server, Lilly, was great and very helpful in suggesting some wonderful oyster combinations for my boys and I to try. My wife had the Scallops, which were fabulous. One of my boys and I both had the Shrimp Grits (add the fried egg it?s awesome) and we loved it. My other son had the fried clam strips appetizer as his dinner with hush puppies and they were both excellent as well. All in
Excellent service. Very busy and popular restaurant. Friendly staff. Bartender was exceptional, knowledgeable, offered helpful insight on menu selections. Seared scallops and crab cakes was delicious. Oysters were fresh. The menu does not offer a lot of selections but don't let it discourage you. The food is worth it. Pricing is not bad. My experience was overall very good and would like to try it again in the future.
Amazing place to visit if you are in Charleston, SC. We did not have a reservation, but we were allowed to sit at the bar. The bartender was really great. We order the bad boy oysters they were delicious and fresh. I ordered the sea scallops and I will order again if we are ever in town again. My husband had the the shrimp and grits, he really enjoyed that. Very busy place, but it is worth it.
Exceptional service!!! I wish I remembered the waitresses name because she was extremely patient and generous with us trying to decide what selections we wanted to make for wine and food. We shared a few of the different oyster options, crab dip for appetizer and the shrimp grits and blue crab tagliatelle— all were extremely tasty and delicious. Highly recommend Reserva una mesa ahora
mike, our server, was gracious in the recommendation of favorite apps and entrees. the only cure I wouldn't write about home was the crabcake. this evening we enjoyed everything! will definitely be friends again.
Great, convivial atmosphere, Excellent (attentive) service, good selection of oysters, fun spot. One of these days, we'll get a chance to sit at the counter!
We had a fantastic dinner here. We ordered two of each type of oyster, a stone crab claw, and the shrimp cocktail. The Bloody Mary was also excellent.
