Chips, cheesy chips salt and pepper chips, sweet potato fries, tempura prawns, chicken goujons, onion rings, spring rolls, mozzarella sticks and hallomi fries. The chips are advertised as gourmet chunky chips We asked if these were home made or frozen.. Told home made. They weren 't, cheap bog standard frozen chips. Went there for a birthday do, everyone was very excited but it soon all went downhill. We were shown to an outside table even though we had specifically booked inside. The staff member showing us to our table was very rude and had no people skills. It took 28 minutes to get a drink and this was the quickest of the 6 rounds we had. We asked for same again but the order was incorrect every time and the costs varied from £36 £42. This was for 7 drinks so between £5 £6 each drink on average. We decided to book Dickens 2 for our corporate Summer Party last Friday, and it was honestly one of the best decisions I've ever made! From the booking and planning process to the night itself, we felt supported every step of the way. Julie had fantastic suggestions and made us feel like we were in very capable hands. The staff members at Dickens 2 went above and beyond to make sure our night went smoothly. Jack and Mario took great care of us and were incredibly attentive. The place itself is nice, due to current rules we were sat outside and they have done a really nice job and it looks quite nice. My main issue with this place is the cost of a drink, a pint of very average lager was £5, which for this area is about £2 too much and really unjustifiable. The staff are on the whole decent, however you are constantly under pressure to finish your drink if you have a quarter of a pint left by the glass collector. This happened to us several times. Toilets were pretty disgusting. Summing up, this place has your eyes out and I can't imagine it will go well for them charging £5 a pint in this area.

We went to this restaurant for a brunch to celebrate my wife's birthday with a large group of friends, and it was absolutely amazing. The service we received was exceptional. A big thank you to Jenny, who took great care of us and provided outstanding service. If you're heading there for brunch and Jenny is your server, you won't have any complaints at all.
Very clean and nice the staff was very polite and helpful. The cocktail did not seem have much alcohol a lot of ice, the cream tea where do I start presentation none sandwiches was thrown on the stand could not make out what was what, cakes from supermarket and the scones never tasted one like it. The first and last time. Never again.
Used to be buzzing in here on a lunchtime. Now the only nice thing Is the new green velvet chairs! Had chicken pitta with a minuscule amount of chicken, loads of lettuce and a pile of frozen chips £5.50!!!!! What a shame used to do homemade chunky chips and have good service. Poor value
I recently celebrated my 40th birthday at Dickens 2 and it was an amazing venue. From the start, Julie and the team were very helpful with my booking. The hot buffet was delicious and all of my guests had a great time. I would highly recommend this venue for private functions.

This is the WORST booking experience i have ever had. So unprofessional and shows no heart at all.Dickens 2 booking was CANCELLED without warning.Gone quiet and have not paid me back my refund as i did not use the service.felt racially MOTIVATED.
