So, my friend and I tried to go to dinner to celebrate my birthday for several months that was in July! I live in Silverlake, she lives in Monrovia. We were finally able to eat together at the diplomat tonight and let me tell you how amazing it was! Wow! The food here was incredible. As a vegan, I was thrilled with the variety of options available. The falafel platter was outstanding, and the hummus and pita appetizers were also fantastic. There was another appetizer—I can't recall its name—but it was like a potato turnover and it was absolutely delicious. The cocktails were great and nicely strong. I can't wait to go back!
I had a fantastic late lunch at this restaurant! The chicken kebab was served with rice pilaf, which was a refreshing alternative to basmati. The chicken shawarma wrap was absolutely delicious! The hummus and pita were also fantastic. We had a work dinner, so I didn’t get the chance to try the cocktails, but they looked fun and creative. This might just be a reason to visit Monrovia again in the future so I can indulge again!
