The Diplomat Steakhouse

My husband and I went to the diplomat last night. We were greeted by the owner. He was so nice. Showed us all the pictures on the wall of celebrities who have been to the restaurant. I had the best coconut smoothie of my life. The food was insane delicious. Had steak and lobster and my steak was perfect. Service was top notch. I had the best experience here. It was my first time in Regina and I will definitely be coming back to the Diplomat.. Definitely.

Knowledgable, kind and welcoming staff, and delicious food! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and when we inquired as to what spices were in the rice pilaf, our server thought we were displeased and immediately offered to bring something else (mind you, it was just an inquiry, it was also delicious). They also provided an excellent wine selection! It is a more expensive restaurant to go to, but well worth the money.

Great place. The setting of oil canvas paintings of Canadian politicians was worth the visit alone. The place is a little dated but not run down which is part of the charm. Our server was fantastic. Had the bison sirloin which was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, we got a surprise dessert (sticky toffee pudding) which I will dream about until my deathbed. Regina is a must visit city for foodies.

Dimitri made me feel like one of the family. Jim was my waiter and he was very attentive. I had the NY strip and it was flavorable and melted in my mouth, So succulent and tender. Everything was first class and prepared with care. The Diplomat is a rarity, attention to detail with the food prepared as if it was homemade.

Another awesome meal at The Diplomat. Had the chicken Maitre D', the beef barley soup (hands down the best beef barley soup ever), and Cherries Jubilee. Awesome food, awesome service, awesome evening!
