The bartenders at The Ditty are some of the worst bartenders I have ever encountered. All I wanted as water and the bartender refused to serve me. When you work in a bar I can understand how difficult it can be when you have a million customers in your face barking orders. However, when you have one bartender deny you water and another bartender RUDELY demand that you get out of the way, it is simply unacceptable. Especially for water not a cocktail. These two bartenders are the biggest disappointment customer service has to offer. In New York City who denies a person WATER in a city where water is FREE. This was the worst bar I have ever experienced in New York City. My friend wanted water and one of the bartenders denied her. When she tried to express her concerns to another bartender, they all ganged up on her. We then had to leave because it was getting ridiculous. She just wanted water and my friend got yelled at for being in the way. As a city, we have to do better and be kinder to one another. This is a misogynist establishment. They can’t even offer women water. Do not go here unless you are already drunk. Better yet, don’t go here at all because even if you’re drunk, the bartenders will just get into arguments with you. So disappointing. What has Astoria come to?
I attended a lovely and enjoyable baby shower last Saturday at the Ditty, and I must say, Katie took excellent care of us—she was very attentive and personable. The food was delicious, the service was incredibly efficient, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The drinks were fantastic! I highly recommend trying the Head Honcho cocktail, but only if the slushy machine isn't working. The hats they offer are a classic touch and always bring a smile to my face. Every time we visit our son and daughter-in-law, we make it a point to stop by the Ditty, and this was our first time attending a private event there. I highly recommend it!
I attended a drag brunch at Ditty, and it was such a delightful experience! The drag queens were fantastic and made the show incredibly enjoyable. As for the food and drinks, they were decent; I had a breakfast crunch wrap along with a vodka collins, though I wish the drinks had a bit more kick to them. The service was friendly, but I felt it could be improved, and I would have appreciated some drink specials. Overall, it was a fun day! I had heard about The Ditty from friends who live nearby and they are always saying how good it is so, when I was in the area with them, I suggested we pay a visit.It is a cosy bar, friendly staff and a nice menu. As it was a Sunday there wasn’t a huge selection but what was available was great. We were sat in the little courtyard at the rear. It was quiet and peaceful. Good food, good drinks in a nice atmosphere. What more could you want?
