I ordered food using the app it was difficult because there is no phone signal inside so had to use their wifi, I went up stairs to use toilets before the food arrived and the carpets are disgusting there is literally a trail of sludge leading from the men’s toilets towards the bottom of the stairs, the place was full off flies and bluebottles, I wouldn’t have ordered food if I knew it was this filthy, I ordered a mixed grill all the meat was rare apart from the gammon and sausage, I got half way into the chicken and discovered it was pink in the middle I drank my pint and left, I was to tired to argue for a refund.
At 74 years of age this was my first visit to a Wetherspoons and I was pleasantly surprised! What impressed me most was the option to have a small portion meal in their ‘Pub Classics’ range. I think this is such a good idea as some people have a smaller appetite than others and this avoids food waste. The fish chips was okay, although the fish was a little overcooked, but for less than £8 with a mug of tea included I thought it was very good value, the service was quick too even though they were busy. I shall certainly be visiting again.
I visited The Dolphin Anchor in Chichester today and unfortunately, my experience was not great. I had been here before and this time, I specifically asked for my husband's eggs to be runny, but they arrived solid. The waitress took them back and when they were replaced, one of the eggs was still solid. Additionally, there was no brown or tartare sauce, which was disappointing as I had ordered scampi. This was a basic oversight in ordering. I would appreciate a response to this review, but I doubt I will receive one.
I visited this restaurant multiple times during my 2-night stay. It was always busy but I was always able to find seats. Wetherspoons has a wide selection of ales, though it can be hit or miss for my personal taste. However, this time there were some good ones, which is why I visited several times.

Ordered food and a drink at the bar. One bartender for a busy bar equals long wait. Ordered an all day breakfast. Bacon burnt, egg hard and whole meal stone cold. If this is all Wetherspoons can do then frankly they should not be in business.
We had dinner and breakfast the next morning at this charming pub. The staff were extremely helpful, going above and beyond by mailing back a glove I had left behind. The service was truly exceptional and delivered with a smile!
Popped in here for drinks and breakfast the next morning. The standard drinks range was god and very reasonably priced. The breakfast muffin came fast, was enjoyed and very cheap especially with unlimited coffee.
Enjoyed a lovely breakfast yesterday. Massive, tasty fruit salad for only about £3. Scrambled eggs also good and fantastic coffee, all at a great price. Very good value and excellent service.

Absolutely appalling service from staff. The pub is unfriendly for families and the staff are only interested in throwing your food on your table and moving on.
Stopped here for drinks, didn't order food. Was extremely busy inside so had our drinks outside opposite the Cathedral.
