visit the circulatory for a few days and it is an absolutely beautiful place to come and see. this place leaves the opposite from the sight of the visitor down and at a time when we try to take short pauses in Scotland to help the post covid. we had called before to check for opening and availability, we were recommended that food be served until 21:00 a.m., we reacted with one thanks and said we were on the way. we stood up and the first worker asked if they had a reservation to which we answered no and no one had said we needed when we had telephoned forward. the co-worker reacted with a sarcastic funeral after which we left. I have left myself on this place for an evening meal, as my part...

Visited on our NC500 tour. Whilst received and seated promptly with the order quickly taken, we had a modest wait for our staters, minestrone soup Haggis stack, although both were very nice. We then waited about 45 minutes for our mains, mushroom risotto and...Monkfish wrapped in Parma ham with fondant potato and Mediterranean roast vegetables. The risotto was a generous portion well cooked but the Monkfish was thoroughly underwhelming. Whilst the fish was just ok, the Parker ham was charred, the fondant potato had a crust that almost needed heavy plant to crack the Mediterranean vegetables consisted of more potatoes with a few onion red pepper pieces. Note sure which “Med” the chef had take...

The Coach House Restaurant is easy to find just off the main square In Dornoch. The menu is by far the most extensive of any restaurant in Dornoch with a wide choice of dishes. The staff are warm and friendly and, despite the restaurant being...busy on both our visits, took time to answer any questions we had. The quality of the food was good with generous portion sizes. Both the food and wine were reasonably priced and provided good value for money. Whilst the restaurant itself was light and airy our only criticism is the shabby entrance with a torn stair carpet. This does not create a good impression and I’m sure that potential diners may be put off by the tatty appearance.

we were a little uncertain to eat here because of mixed reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. we have booked here 2 dinners on facebook and they answered immediately. the personal is really friendly and laughed with us. the restaurant is clean and...spacious we enjoyed our meal here both paints make sure they have a pudding because they are something else! the prices are reasonable and the food proportions were perfect. they make a booking though they turn away people who were not because were busy. We were the first table to arrive for the evening sitting. The menu we'd seen on the website looked lovely, however the waitress then gave us a list of everything that was not available, and this list was lengthy. We each ordered the scallops for...starter and for some reason my husband's were each half the size of mine. I had the chargrilled chicken breast on mushroom tagliatelle which was nice, but far too big. My husband said the mixed grill was ok. The ice cream sundae we shared however was lovely.

visited in May 22. 2 of the 5 nets were not available when we ordered and one of the starters just afterwards became available for the table next to us. our commands were therefore compromised on what we planned so instead of slowly cooked bark. my wife ordered a vegan wellington expected it to be tasty. that wasn't it. it was puff pastry filled with carrots (only) served with carrots! no ceremonies or aromes. very disappointing.

menu, village and place all absolutely beautiful, but this culinary experience was a very disappointing experience in the whole round. as some of the less favourable assessments have already said.

Nice venue and the waitress was lovely but food was a bit excessive with the biggest pork ribs I have ever seen. Nice views into centre of Dornoch if you get window table.
