The Evelyn - Reservar una mesa

Had lunch at The Evelyn while in town for a couple of days. The day we came they had a set menu. We ordered: Lamb Navarin The lamb is like a stew. The meat to vegetable ratio was heavy on the veggies. Wish there was more meat and less potatoes in this dish. Mussels: This was tasted like a delicious curry. Loved all the leeks in this this. It comes with bread which was perfect for dipping in the remaining sauce. I chose the tomato soup as the side dish which came in a tiny adorable cup so you don?t fill up on soup. For dessert they had strawberry tart and brownie with raspberry sorbet. The tart and sorbet was good but the brownie was too rich. Overall a good meal.

Very good French onion soup, probably the highlight of my meal. Escargot is ok, slightly underseasoned but still tasted decent. For the main, the Cornish hen meat was dry, sauce too overwhelming over the lightly seasoned chicken. Bouillabaisse linguine was better, I could tasted the shellfish, however bouillabaisse was a bit too thick, more like a sauce than soup, maybe because the overly abundance of tomatoes sauce? A bit disappointing that bread and butter are extra charges on the menu.

Party of 2 we just crashed and there was no need for reservation but it was a Thursday. It seems for weekend you?ll need a reservation. Nice cute little and intimate restaurant, great if you?d like a place just to talk and have a good meal. Ray was our server, great recommendation and service! . We had the lobster bisque and the dish of the day. Both were tasty and delicious. Parking is outside and free. Price is according prevailing prices in Elora.

What a good find! I love this little French inspired restaurant. The dishes are all amazing. The onion soup was amazing. The server knew I shared the soup. It ensures that the kitchen has made it in two small bowls. The onion soup tastes so good!!! How woow!!! I'd definitely try all the dishes next time in the area. And everyone who works there is so beautiful!!! I highly recommend it!

A sweet bistro style of the restaurant. Loves the lobster bisque and the crispy chicken leg. Hamburger was a bit dry and the Po Boy would be better with more sauces. Salad was a bit disappointed, very little dressing and simple. We would definitely go back to try their dinner menu.

Fantastic dining experience on their gorgeous patio! Had a lovely evening relaxing on the patio and enjoying an incredible meal. Great service. Laid back atmosphere. Amazing food. Only regret is that we didn?t leave room for dessert. Highly recommend. 12/10

Beautiful random discovery, just looking for lunch at a quick visit to Elora. Friendly, efficient service. Surprising ingenious food. Comfortable atmosphere, both informal and elegant at the same time. Three generations enjoyed our visit!

We thought this restaurant was a quick lunch on the way back to Toronto. Since it was late, we just ordered crispy chicken salad. It was delicious.. We also had their homemade mushroom soup and lobster bisque, both were excellent.

Food was great but I was expecting a better meal for the price. The name of my order was fancy so I didn't know it was just a burger and small salad. But I have say it again, the flavour was unique

we had pork tenderloin and seafood risotto with cream brûlée for dessert. successful gluten-free and good tasting!
