Came here because it was a difficult time of day to have late lunch, early dinner. There is lots of seating inside and out on busy James Street. Order taken, pleasant lady served me. Sat outside awaiting the buzzer. It had no sooner gone off, and I went in to collect said order, than it was already on its way. So far so great. Then it ends, the chips were not nice, plastic cutlery???? The fish was OK, however, way too much batter. Did not enjoy, was quite expensive, and, sorry, will never return.
One of my favourite fish & chip spots in Burleigh. Good value for money, fish is usually a nice portion size and the crunchy chips are special. Staff are a bit impersonal and it is cash only, but for take-away on to Burleigh Hill, it is hard to beat. Make sure you ask them to pack the chips separate from the fish, otherwise it all sticks together which is not very nice.
Have been going here for our fish and chips for over 23 years and have seen several owners come and go. The crunchy battered chips are always popular but occasionally are over cooked and dry but mostly great.Fish fresh and tasty.Portions have gotten smaller over the years despite prices increasing but I still think the best in Burleigh.
From the photo above, it's changed hands and the standard of food is now 150% better. Excellent value, sells beer (Indonesian Bintang for $5!!!). $19.50 for a seafood platter was more than enough for us two.Brilliant service. There are a number of fish and chip shops in Burleigh but this is the best.

Now this place used to be fantastic. Visiting with my two teens, they had memories of super crunchy chips/fries. Crunch was there, so were the half cooked potatoes, under cooked fish and warm soft drink. Maybe try the James Street offer instead for your fish and chips.
Fish was OK not really into the crunchy chips but that's prob just my taste staff were nice and friendly even tho it was quite busy at lunch time, price is OK too not overly expensive and located near the beach so can take away and chill on the beach and watch the surf
Visted this place when last in aus and returned for a try 7 years later. The food and the place is the excact same. The price is incredible for the fact its the best fish and chips ive had on the gold coast
Battered Chips need I say more. I don't actualy eat seafood I just go for the chips and am never disappointed!! You never have to fight over the highly sort after crispy chips because they all are!!!!!

I know everyone has their favourites but this place is the best. Try the battered chips when you go there, best ever. Takeaway only but good selection of fresh fish and other staples you would expect.
Really good fish and chips to eat under the trees across the road at Burleigh Beach. So relaxing and a great family activity.
