The Fitzwilliam Arms

First time I have been back since before the initial lockdown. Staff were welcoming and, importantly for me, I felt safe. The food was superb, reasonably priced and service excellent. Staff are to be commended with the quiet, calm, efficient way they helped and supported an elderly diner who was taken ill at a nearby table until paramedics arrived. I would unreservedly recommend this establishment.

Great lunchtime visit. The food was lovely, I had mackerel pate for starters, then roast belly pork. My husband had roasted tomato soup and then chicken, all well cooked and hot. Good selection of drink available. The seating is well laid out, not too close, comfortable and the decor is lovely, very peaceful and relaxing. Would highly recommend to all. Food: 5

Lovely venue to hear our friend sing. Lynda worked really hard and gave a great service which helped to make our evening very enjoyable. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Sticky Toffee Pudding, Chocolate Brownie, Soup, Beef Burger

The food wasn't upto normal standard we go quite alot the starter was terrible we normally get two different types of pate and nice bread and butter didn't get that and the potatoes with my fishcakes were awful very disappointed

So impressed, a first date and I was nervous but this place delivered. It's nice with great staff and food. A little gem!
