The Flying Pig - Reserva de mesa

We were a bit apprehensive when we arrived, as the pub was quite bustling after a sunny day and we were a group of five. However, our worries were unfounded; our young server was fantastic, managing not only our table but also a large number of other customers with ease. The food was also excellent. It's rare to find such attentive service these days, so I would definitely recommend The Flying Pig.

My wife and I had dinner here on our first night during a short getaway in Bowness. The service was quick, efficient, and incredibly friendly; we were seated almost immediately. The food arrived promptly, was beautifully cooked, and offered great value for money. We look forward to returning on our next visit to the Lakes.

The food was pretty good but it was very busy, the staff did their absolute best but I think it needed more staff to cope with demand. The food came out very fast though. They allow dogs which was fab but it’s fairly basic inside and not cosy or that comfortable. The toilets were lacking. The menu was fairly limited.

Not for me Although the staff were nice, the food lets TFP down. Poor quality roast dinners, with 2 of the thinnest pieces of meat I’ve ever seen on each plate. Very expensive for what we got. Reserva una mesa ahora

Mix up with table booking, then forgot our drinks order, followed by having to ask for the black pudding which was supposed to have been part of the salad.

The food was excellent, but the service was disappointing. Saturday's experience was particularly lackluster, which was quite underwhelming.

Service was Swift and efficient, the food, especially the homemade pies were amazing.
