We are rarely astonished how bad food can be but this was one of those occasions. When you go to a pub, you expect pub food not gastronomy, but you do expect fresh and flavoursome. The “triple” cooked fries were barely cooked at all and were drenched in fat. We were able to squeeze the fries and oil would drip from each chip like a leaky tap. The burgers were over cooked and presented in a dry bun (no garnish, no salad, onions etc) it looked like school dinners at best. When we asked for some salad, they were returned with one bit of lettuce and a wedge of lazy cut tomato where the top of the bun wobbled as it if we’re a poorly fitting hat. Note to management. Absolutely terrible unfortunately... The service staff are always good here, however the owner is another story. His name Is Kev by the way just so you can steer clear of you are unlucky enough to come across this specimen. I went to use the men 's toilets and was told it was being cleaned. After I asked if there 's another toilet I Could use (I know there is another public toilet round the back of the pub)I was told I would have to f wait . I obviously confronted him about the way he spoke To me and I was told to leave. Honestly there are many better places to eat in Rhoose very close tto this place. If you aree after nice pub food go to the Highwayman up the road. Or there 's the Raj Kinar...
We encountered some issues with our van and had to fix it. The owner of the restaurant was incredibly understanding, patient, and kind. He even provided us with tools to help us with the repairs. He also arranged for us to stay an extra night and told us to take our time, assuring us that there was no rush to leave.
The other people at the touring park, who I believe are permanent residents, were also very helpful. They lent us tools and were friendly and chatty. There was even a man on holiday who helped my partner get replacement parts from nearby Barry.
Overall, it was a fantastic place with even more fantastic people. Thank you so much, and we can't wait to return.
We had a family meal at this restaurant and didn't need to make a reservation as the place is quite spacious and can accommodate large groups. We ordered the kids' meal which had a wide selection and was very good for children. In addition, we ordered three other main dishes which came in generous portions. We were very pleased with the food.

Myself and 2 friends visited here for lunch, Great choice of menu, and when the food came, generous portions and the food was delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming, will be back.

We found this spot by searching on brit stops. Lovely pub, great food, fantastic welcoming staff. Breakfast was amazing. Would stop again.
Saturday morning breakfast 10-12 always try and get to this independently owned pub, butcher quality sausages and bacon, highly recommend
