"A good old pub. Really friendly staff. Great home made food. Good value for money. We will definitely be back. The traditional Polish food lived up to our expectations and the fish pie was amazing"

A group of four for dinner on Saturday night. Starters of chilli prawns, mains of fish pie and a crumble dessert. General impression was very over-piced and I could've done better myself. Over for a starter of five shop-bought prawns with a smattering of...rocket, heated cherry tomatoes and a chilli dressing is not exactly value for money. The fish pie was advertised as cooked in a creamy sauce' but it wasn't. The crumble was equivalent to heated jam with crushed digestive biscuits served in a miniature ramekin. Our bill came to over including a bottle of wine and pints. Shame on you French Horn you won't last long serving awful food like that!

We came here for dinner as we had enjoyed the food and a local band were playing. I was surprised to see that the Polish sausage came with just one sausage with the option of another for a supplement. That made overpriced at for a basic meal. The portion size of the rest of the meal was equally mean with a small helping of slaw and a single sliced gherkin. Having finished the main course, we were offered the dessert menu but then waited half an hour for the waitress to come back to us, by which time we had decided to go home for coffee. This place needs to increase its serving staff and portion sizes.

Probably one of the worse meals I have ever had !! ordered polish sausage , looked like a meal you would prepare at home when you really did not have much in the house, sausage, greasy fried potatoes, a tiny amount of coleslaw small gherkin. AWFUL!! only good part was the waitress , she was friendly .

Stayed here for a week with work. The staff were incredibly lovely and extremely accommodating and attentive. A very nice, cosy place with great food and service. Would absolutely return. Really nice vegan options too!
