The Gandhi - Reserva de mesa

As part of the continued Bedfordshire Curry Tour we were keen to try the Gandhi at Sandy after reading some of the reviews. The restaurant is pleasant and clean after you work out how to get in (its around the back only)! We ordered the obligatory poppadums and the usual onion bhajis for starters. The poppadums were fresh and crisp and the pickle tray very good. Unlike a lot of restaurants we have visited recently, the onion bhajis were freshly made rather than bought-in frozen ones. This is the first time we have had a takeaway from this restaurant as we live in St Neots and this establishment is in Sandy.. not the other side of the world i know but St Neots have many Indian restraints, however my brother-in-law has used this place every weekend for years and swears by it.... so we thought we would give it a go.... and i'm so glad we did...... gorgeous food. piping hot. very friendly staff. large portions and priced very reasonably. we have found our new go too Indian takeaway restaurant. just don't change!!!!!!!

Had a lovely meal here Beginning of July we thought we would book a table as not been since Dec2019 it did not disappoint I took quite some time looking at menu and we wasn’t rushed at all might have been different if restaurant had been busy but it was a Monday night food was very tasty just the right amount very reasonable prices hardly any difference from 2.5 years ago 2 starters 3 mains 1 peshwari naan 2 alcoholic drinks just under £40 you can’t go wrong

We have been several times to the Ghandi in sandy and have never been disappointed. The food is great and we always leave feeling very full. It is very reasonable and despite all the recent price increases everywhere they have not put anything up. The staff are very caring and friendly. Thank you for such a lovely meal. Took a little while to get seated but it was a Saturday so expected , the staff were fantastic , helpful and approachable without being rushy . The food was the best I’ve had and hot well seasoned and plenty . Would definitely go back again .

First time I’ve eaten here since moving to Sandy. All I can say is excellent. Great food, great value for money and attentive staff. An enjoyable place to be.

Great little find, excellent food at a great price. Very friendly staff. Plenty room between tables. Car park just a very short walk away which is a bonus.

Just moved to the area and wanted a ruby . Great tasting curries and really good value . Will now be my local indian restaurant.
