We first went to St. James Winery where we had a lovely time. After talking, catching up, and sampling some wine flights we decided to walk over to Public House Brewing Company for dinner. We ordered appetizers, dinner, and some drinks. We had an AMAZING server. Damien was attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good night. I enjoyed a quick lunch with my husband and wanted to share our experience. I chose the trout fritter appetizer as my main dish, and it was fantastic. The fritters were small, crispy balls of tender trout served on a bed of homemade remoulade. The combination of the crunchy exterior and the soft interior was just perfect. My husband opted for the pub burger, cooked to perfection at medium doneness, topped with delicious onion jam. He also ordered his favorite, the Public House Elusive IPA. We stopped here on our way home from Springfield, MO, and really enjoyed our visit. The restaurant is spacious and has a relaxed atmosphere. They offer a nice selection of beers and cocktails, as well as wine from the nearby St. James winery. The food menu features a good variety of options. I ordered the bison burger while my husband chose the Nashville chicken sandwich. Both choices were tasty, although I wasn't a fan of the hot sauce on the chicken sandwich; my husband, however, liked it. The fries were also well-seasoned and enjoyable. Lovely atmosphere. The outside is set up with multiple tables and gardens for decor. There is a fountain and several games. The perfect place to chat with a group of friends and enjoy the weather. The waitress and was prompt and attentive. The food was excellent. I went with the pizza and it was wonderful. On the way leaving I saw the pizza oven they use. So neat to look at!I didn't partake in any drinks o I can't comment on them, but you should check this place out!

Saturday February 4, 2023 came in and sat at the bar for far too long with zero acknowledgement from three servers who blatantly ignored our existence. Very strange. So we decided to take our money somewhere welcoming instead. Even more weird is when we got up to leave one of the three told us to have a good day! So, we had not activated our invisible shields and were clearly visible! Anyway, if anyone has better luck let us know how the food and beverages are!
If i could leave 1/4 of a star i could. It understandable to wait especially when its busy. But waiting for over 1hr just to order it's ridiculous. If you do not have the personnel to man the floor than have limit of people you can allow so that you are not waiting sitting there with a water waiting to even order drinks.
The restaurant features a lovely open layout spread over two levels, making it an inviting space for all. It's conveniently located right next door to a winery. With 11 beers on tap and a complete bar, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, it's easily accessible, just off Highway 44.
Super duper dog friendly!!! Incredible food, awesome selection of beverages from cider, beer, wine, spirits! The staff was so so friendly and fun to chat with. We were driving through on a cross country move, and this place was our favorite stop!!! Definitely swing in! Gorgeous venue too!

Large patio seating for a nice day! Dogs allowed in outside and indoor seatings. They brought out a water dish for our dog. Food is good and waitress was very attentive. Brewery tour has not started since after Covid, but St. James winery next door has wine tour.
