The George At Trottiscliffe

This is a charming country pub. I stopped by for brunch and was warmly welcomed by Louisa, who brought me a drink as soon as I made my choice. I ordered the fried beef noodles, which were fantastic, along with the loaded fries—I was definitely in the mood for a hearty meal that day. The portion of loaded fries was substantial enough for two and they were delicious. The pub has a cozy atmosphere, and the staff are always friendly, helpful, and very attentive when needed. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu, delicious food, and outstanding service. Although the pub was fully booked, our meals arrived promptly, showcasing great efficiency. It’s a charming venue, filled with cozy nooks and crannies. However, we found the labeling for the restrooms a bit confusing, as it took us some time to realize that "Gulls" indicated the female restroom. Other than that minor issue, we have no complaints and will definitely be back. Meal type: Lunch.

Staff friendly and very attentive. Not overly keen on plates being cleared from the table when one of us was still eating but a minor in comparison to the service and delicious food.
