Wow!!! This is an absolute must visit for anyone looking for a cozy upbeat friendly environment in the Elmbridge area to enjoy a first rate Sunday roast with a few mates or family. The meat was clearly top notch and although the staff could seem a little stretched at times I’ve been assured of an extra one or two people working front of house to help spread the load!! There isn’t much space guys so be sure to book in advance!! Ps. Chef Joe who only works there on Sundays and is the sous chef at a high end Chelsea establishment is seriously talented. ENJOY X
Popped in for a burger today and it was cooked to perfection, Great friendly service, Covid taken seriously and the changes made to the rear outside area looks impressive also. A warm and welcome place to sit while you have a good pint and some great pub grub. Get yourself there for a great atmosphere and a good laugh and an enjoyable lunch or a few beers in the evening.
Very friendly welcome and great beer. Perfect for a lunchtime snack and all the patrons seem to be real characters! Not tried the Sunday roast but hear its amazing. A number of TVs too with all sports and they were happy to let me watch Loose Women on one screen while I kept an eye on the cricket on the other. Perfect thank you
Walked in the front door and was greeted with We 've stopped serving before I could say anything. This was 21:30 on a Monday by the way. As I was saying goodbye to friends I was reminded I told you we 're not serving. Get out Zero out of ten for customer service. If zero was an option for rating I would have chosen it. Heard that The George Inn was excellent for Sunday lunch. It did not disappoint. We both had roast pork. I could not finish the plate of food !! Excellent quality meat. Loads of veg. Friendly service. Will definitely be returning. Bar staff and chef very efficient and friendly. Just what you want at a local pub.
We went for a Sunday lunch, having heard about it from friends. A choice of roast beef or pork with all the trimmings. Everything was superb ..real quality cooking, great ingredients and individual gravy boat !!! Will definitely return , and understand that they will be introducing weekday lunches soon.
Only value regular customers, and despite booking table the landlord refused to give us table as locals were sat there already. Do not consistently enforce Covid regulation. Any other pub in the area would be more friendly and pleasant to visit- don’t waste your time or money!!!
