Was here for an early high tea (4 adults and 2 under 5s). Friendly service, answered any queries we had and were good with the children. The food was good. Wish we had known re portion sizes and gone for the smaller portions as there was too much food. The meals were lovely, chicken Marland, stake ale pie and the enormous salad. The kids' meals were good as well. We received a bowl of chips to share rather than on the plates. There must have been enough chips for 3 tables of people as it was massive and a lot of it wasted. We asked for the children's ice cream early as they were getting board, this was slow in coming and when it did arrive we had to ask for the empty plates to be removed to...
Stayed up in this hotel for a night for work decent location staff allowed me to check in early as I'd travelled a few hours drive never got to try the dinner here, but tried the breaky scrambled eggs and toast with some coffee was nice. I'd go back again decent sleep and nice staff! We stopped by for a quick lunch and we're really glad we did. I had the chicken fillets while my wife chose the lasagna. Both dishes arrived promptly, piping hot, and clearly freshly made. I recently won a Mother's Day high tea for four, and it was absolutely wonderful! The staff was fantastic, and the ambiance of the place was lovely. We didn't have to wait at all, which was a nice surprise. The only suggestion I have is to consider adding more vegan options to the menu. Overall, a great experience!

We reserved a table here for my partner's birthday dinner, and everyone had a fantastic time. The service was quick, especially considering we were a party of 19, and the restaurant was quite busy. Overall, we all enjoyed our evening immensely. Thank you! Highly recommended!
Honestly the most shocking stay in a hotel I’ve ever had. Room overlooking the road which equated to zero sleep due to the young revellers leaving Sharkys across the road. Thumping music until 1130 then shouting and screaming until 3 am. Rooms: 1 Service: 3 Location: 1
