We've often eaten here and had excellent food and service. Until this week. We booked for lunch and our waitress organised drinks very promptly before taking our order. I asked for scampi with a salad, avoiding chips and we also asked for garlic bread to share. When our food arrived, I had scampi and chips with a bowl of salad and no sign of the garlic bread. The waitress suddenly realised I hadn't ordered chips but I said that was OK as my husband would eat them. Despite reminding her about the garlic bread, it never arrived. Our waitress was quiet and efficient, and busy with new arrivals as the restaurant began to fill. We eventually decided it was pointless asking about the garlic bread...

Been a few times and thoroughly enjoyed in the past. Came with a friend for her birthday one evening when it was steak night. For starters I had mussels which were lovely. My friend had the king prawns which were not great. More or a soup with only a few prawns. We had medium rare steak which was lovely although a bit fatty. Blue cheese sauce was nice but not overly strong. The atmosphere was great. It came to £100 which I thought was very steep for the steak night deal with only two starters and two mains. We did get a bottle of wine as well but I’m not sure how it came to that much

The food here is amazing, absolutely first class. My steak was cooked to perfection and the pasta dishes looked amazing too Despite asking for our order to be taken from three of the staff, we had to wait for over 40 minutes before someone did. I accept this when restaurants are busy, but seeing the staff congregating for chats when we were waiting for someone to take our order was frustrating to say the least All of this said, if you want amazing Italian food, then highly recommend a visit here….might just want to bring snacks to allow for the wait!

For the second year in a row, our book club decided to have our Christmas meal at this restaurant because we had such a great experience last year. Once again, it was fantastic. The manager even remembered my dietary restrictions from previous visits and made sure my food was specially prepared for me. Sunday dinner treat for the family. Service was excellent BUT sadly the roast dinners were swamped in a rich gravy. I think you should give the customers a choice and provide the gravy in a gravy boat. All you could taste was the gravy throughout the dinner. The roast potatoes were over cooked and were hard the cut up. Very nice restaurant, comfy chairs.

Had a lovely meal here last night for my 60th birthday, they even sang for me when they brought out my dessert. Staff were very friendly and attentive and nothing too much trouble. Will definitely visit again. The chicken pasta was excellent.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is delightful. We highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back. Egger and Izzy is a must-visit spot.

Great lunch menu. Friendly welcoming, attentive staff. The lasagne is very much a cut above the rest. Good value for money. Highly recommend.
