we had some great meals here this year. the food is freshly prepared with high quality ingredients (local meat etc.) the staff is really friendly and can not do enough for them. they are child-friendly and even show our children in the direction of their board games/color books if they can say they are looking for something. we love to catch up here with friends and family especially since the latest renovation. we had a family dinner here yesterday and were particularly impressed by the cook when he made our son especially dessert for him from the ground to the dessert, just because he tied something with lemon. thank you, we will be back soon

I had a truly unforgettable meal in my region on Tuesday. I have waited a few days to post this as I still have the aromes of: (starter) – black pudding scotch eggs – the pudding coating is extremely light in texture with golden egg yolk a combination that melts it without feeling too full for the main course. my gast had the southern fried chicken goujouns – similarly light and with delicately tasteful dusting of teig. (mains) – stuffed chicken grilled perfection with a sosty to die. my gast had the stuffed peppers – with a generous support from the side. all washed with a price-performance ratio bottle malbec have no room for desert!

on Sunday for family dinner. we were a party of 7 and all ordered various foods. all meal times came together, with each plate piping hot and perfectly presented. eating is of excellent quality, all freshly made. I wanted to bee and beetle cake, and although they had none of their usual left, they have made a special version in a pancake with a fluffy baked top for me, it was fabulous (maybe this should be on the menu as regular? ! highly recommended

came over the pub after a nice walk along the canal and through the village. cured inside of 'walker and their dogs welcome '. we received a warm welcome, the service was friendly and welcoming. the food was tasty and the toffee and the chocolate brew with ice was delicious. nothing was too much annoyed. the rudder fire gives the place a domestic feeling. will definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Just like to say thank you to Darren, Sam and the team for a fantastic evening last night. Food was excellent as always, please pass on our compliments to the chef, and the Jonny Oates Band was fantastic too. A great atmosphere to help celebrate a family birthday which was enjoyed by all. Highly recommend.
