The Golden Pheasant

Thought it would be nice for a few of the mums from school to go for a lunch during the holidays and had heard that The Golden Pheasant had a large play area for the children. of us seemed to overhelm the kitchens capacity and what they turned out can only be described as disgraceful. The service was slow and the young girl that served us was positively mardy. I think she was hung over! The drinks seemed expensive for a small glass of house Shiraz? The food was ok in part but two of us had chicken that wasn't cooked through properly I thought. Generally we won't be in a rush to go back to the pub that the children thought "smelled funny".

We had our wedding anniversary on Saturday and the food and service made it a perfect evening which was supported by us going back in time and enjoying a dance with friends. The staff couldn’t do enough and the best part of the Golden Pheasant, the food was cooked to order and was definitely worth the wait,

Fab meal last night at The Golden Pheasant with my other 'luscious lady'! The cake was great and the cheese cake was beautiful. Excellent service. Very friendly and attentive. Can be highly recommended and look forward to our next visit. Thank you.

We had our Christmas party (18 covers) here and couldn't ask for more, nothing was too much trouble, the food was fantastic and we got excellent service, would highly recommend.

Lovely place to sit outside for a lovely lunch. Had the sea bass with samphire, potatoes and tarragon sauce… lovely! Recommend that you book as it can be busy popular place!
