The Good Catch - Reserva de mesa

I ordered two chicken breast meals with chips from this restaurant. Unfortunately, when I got home and cut into the chicken, blood poured out and ruined my entire meal. It was a disgusting experience and I had to throw it all away. The person cooking the chicken even mentioned that there would be an additional 10-minute wait due to preparing the chicken. She seemed overwhelmed as two more customers came in and ordered chicken after me. This experience completely turned me off from ever ordering from this place again.

Unfortunately, this fish and chip shop does not consistently meet a high standard. The quality can vary from very good to poor. We will be avoiding it for a few weeks to see if it improves. On the other hand, we visited Mr Chips in Churchtown the next day and were impressed by the improvement compared to Freshfield. The quality was much higher and the prices were cheaper.

This restaurant is fantastic! I can't comprehend all the negative reviews because the service was incredibly friendly, the staff were personable and kind. The fish portion was generous, and the chips made from potatoes were delicious - the haddock was fresh and substantial! If I find myself in Formby again, I would definitely return to this place.

Looks like it's had a refurb since some of the other reviews. Very clean and modern. Nice food and friendly staff. Handy for getting chippy before heading to squirrel park if using the train as right by station. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Reserva una mesa ahora
