What a wonderful unexpected visit we had here. Great place, great staff, great toilets. We visited here on our weekly Pattern Designer breakfast here. Completely by chance as we were driving through Blandford and Sally needed to get her Nan some new pants as unfortunately she had an accident whilst driving up from Salisbury. Straight away you knew this was gunna be a ‘real’ spit and sawdust cafe full of proper greasy food, and we were not disappointed. The food itself was wonderful, really tasty and it’s Nice to find a place that does the No.1 breakfast ingredient ‘fried bread’ honestly couldn’t fault any of it. During a visit to Essex to see family, we decided to go out for Sunday breakfast at The Gorge. The restaurant was open early and we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Right. He ensured that all breakfast options were taken care of. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with more seating available than it appears from the outside. The food was delicious and we highly recommend this place. We will definitely be dining here again.

I hadn 't been here for about nine months after the last experience. I thought I would give it a second chance. Burger bun dry and crumbly. Clientele were special (PC term) I do have sympathy, but please control them when it disturbs every other diner. Years ago this place served great reasonably priced food in pleasant surroundings. Such a shame to see it now. A third chance will not be forthcoming.

During a business trip, I was in search of a breakfast spot and stumbled upon Gorge Cafe. They serve a traditional fry-up and the owner, Tony, is very accommodating. The best part is that they open earlier than other restaurants, which was convenient for me. You can usually stop by anytime after 6:30am. The portions are large, although not the healthiest option, but you know what to expect.

Ordered 2 take away early bird breakfasts for myself and a colleague, I was offered plates but was happy with take away cartons. The breakfasts were great fried bread was such a treat and delicious.Great service and personable manager Tony. I will be a regular customer now I have discovered this cafe.

great for a big fry up , tony the manager does his best with sometimes little help , food not the healthiest , but absolutely yum, they have sanitiser and distancing , me, my partner and my 5 yr old daughter love going there ... five stars

We were in search of a quick drink and a late lunch. The restaurant had a good selection of sandwiches and hot dishes. The prices were reasonable and the food was served promptly.

Eype mouth hotel was perfect for a relaxing stay. Attentive helpful staff, good service and fantastic food. 5 minutes walk on to the beach, very quiet surrounding.

The smell of old cooking fat is very obvious as soon as you enter. Probably great place if you have a hangover and just want to eat fat

Amazing Breakfast Very quick service and the staff are very polite. Highly recommend popping in for breakfast!
