The Grand Experience

Went with my family for father's day around 2pm. Considering it wasn't busy, we waited 30-40 minutes for a large pizza, pizza/ salad combo and a small Greek salad! Our server was not very friendly...whole ordering we all said what we wanted and she would just say "ok" after each order, took almost 10 mins just to get our drinks after ordering. Wouldn't let us order our food when we ordered the drinks even though we were ready. She asked what kind of "sauce" my sister wanted on her GREEK SALAD-i've never been asked this question ever when ordering a Greek salad ANYWHERE! She almost dropped the large pizza coming down the stairs, and we watched another server behind the bar drop 2 things-they...

We haven't been to the Grand in ages, since the wife and I were told that holding hands while waiting for food was inappropriate, (Hey we've only been married 32 years) but my nephew wanted to meet and he goes here quite a bit. He made a joke about this being the place where the salad comes at the end of the meal. We ordered and talked while we waited, and after 20 mins the waitress came around to "see how everything was"... we didn't have anything on the table! ha haAfter about half an hour the waitress came around to tell us they were waiting for the eggs to cook for the salad, and the nephew asked how long everything else was going to take. The waitress seemed shocked and mildly offended...

We were in Lindsay for a weekend of green beer! Saturday around noon we decided to eat here for brunch. The food was fair, seemed like it was brought in, not made in house. However it was served hot and was satisfactory. THE SERVICE was horrendous! It was quiet, less than twenty customers and three servers, we were told to sit wherever we wanted. Our waitress was slow and surly in the extreme! Getting a cup of coffee was a major chore. She really wanted everyone to know that she was angry about something. We finally got our second cup at the end of the meal. She poured coffee all over the table! She didn't even acknowledge the mess and we cleaned it up! I won't go back and her tip reflected...

If you are looking for a no frills, reliable and quiet weekend breakfast this is the place for you! I enjoyed a basic bacon, eggs and rye toast breakfast. My spouse enjoyed the eggs benedict. The food was as good as at home, and the service was fast and pleasant. The only thing we didn't like were the home fries. They had way too much seasoning salt on them. We couldn't eat them at all. We did polish off the rest of our food. I would suggest they lay off the premixed seasonings, just a touch of salt and pepper would have been fine. Reserva una mesa ahora

I know it is Father's Day but it wasn't busy and we sat and waited to even get a menu, then we waited to get our drinks ordered. Then we waited 15 minutes for drinks... then we were waiting to order and watched 2 tables full of people walk out because they were tired of waiting! A man even said they were ready to walk out and they still waited , they walked out and so did we, wanting to order we should not have to wait 30 minutes!

I had the pleasure of joining some friends at this restaurant last night (Tuesday). There was about 17 of us, and we had one server who was great. He may have seemed a little overwhelmed by the number of people ordering at different times from him, but he managed to do a good job in bringing us our dinner and drinks. There is a variety of appetizers, finger foods and main course meals to select from. Good evening out!

This was a great disappointment for a Mother's Day brunch. The restaurant was about 25% full and had 3 wait staff and yet it took 40 minutes to be served after we placed our order. Most of the 90 minutes (!) we were in the restaurant, the staff appeared to be hiding. The omelette was quite ordinary and there were far too may fried potatoes.

Always a good spot to go for liver and onions with fabulos garlic mashed potatoes. Highly recommended. They actually know how to cook liver! Great starters, shrimp in a basket and good fish and chips. Home made pizzas too. Reserva una mesa ahora

Good tavern food. Service is good. Food quality average. Menu a bit limited. Full service bar. Good entertainment some nights.

We often go to the Grand after playing hockey. The grand has the best pizza in Lindsay. The service was friendly.
