The Greedy Italian

The waiter was lovely there was nothing wrong with her service at all. The reason for the 2 stars was because we complained about the lobster being mushy and almost like a pate. The waiter told us they were ‘fresh’ , which they was clearly frozen, but we didn’t argue this as we didn’t want to ruin our meal/night so we left it. The chef them proceeded to come out of the kitchen with the plate and started to be quite passive aggressive about our complaint. Trying to explain how it wasn’t mushy and was not like pate yet he was not the one eating it. My girlfriend was still eating her meal when he come over to argue that there was nothing wrong with it which I found to be quite rude. This made us feel quite embarrassed as the restaurant is quite small so everyone could see what was going on.After all of this there was no attempt to apologise or even have some curtesy and offer a small amount of money off the lobster. We were more than happy to pay for what we had eaten which was half of the frozen lobster. We just thought that this was not really acceptable considering the price we paid and the lobster was not up to scratch. Having said it was a small restaurant we did not want to kick up a fuss over this so we paid the full amount. This really disappointed us as the starters, drinks and my girlfriends meal was amazing. Unfortunately this has put us off this restaurant, as there was no need for the chef to come out like that so we will not be returning.

Another great visit to this friendly, warm delightful gem of a restaurant. A warm welcome as always, and this time we took even more family with us, and once again with great service, exceptional food and a fantastic atmosphere, it came up to the mark, as it does again and again! Great food served well, decent wines, all at a cost that won't break the bank too. Has to be our favourite restaurant in Milton Keynes by a long way.

Originally booked the sister restaurant on Oxley park but they cancelled due to staff issues so went greedy italian instead. Wasn't fully booked but service was slow. Starters came out in dribs and drabs rather than 3 together. The food was ok but took over 40 minutes for starters then a very long wait for mains. Clearly they had staff issues here too. Wasn't impressed.

Sat, , ordered food and drinks, drinks came Food took over an hour and during that time we were asked to move (2 of us on a table for 4) as more people had booked Sat near kitchen, heard chef yell for service for 10 mins Food came out cold Food was mediocre Service wasn't great

It's the most gorgeous little restaurant...lovely decor, amazing freshly cooked food and very professional staff. I highly recommended
