I was extremely shocked by the customer service at GreenBank yesterday. I visited with some friends who are all local teachers. We had two tables next to each other, with one table in a walkway. One particular server continuously made rude faces and tutted at us every time she walked past, because one of our children was "in the way". After recently returning to the area, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this lovely pub has undergone significant improvements since the 90s. The atmosphere, staff, and food were all exceptional. We stopped by for Sunday lunch, and despite it being very busy, they were able to accommodate us. Agreeable updated clearly antique boozer in Greenbank, close to Easton. We enjoyed a terrific Sunday roast we chose the pork, which came with lots of delicious crackling, Yorkshire Pud etc. With cauliflower cheese, another main and plenty of booze (wine, **** Mary, Stout), the bill came to £89.04 for three. Nice friendly service, including bringing drinks to tables. Only slight negative: the canned music was a bit loud and intrusive.

Having visited on a couple of occasions I've always felt the owner and staff think of themselves as a cut above. Sure there are some nice (overpriced! local ales on offer but ultimately it is pretty bog standard in here. Much nicer, proper local pubs just a short walk away.
