I recently moved back to DE of FL and was super excited to try their food again. I looked at the menu in advance and was pleased to see many new offers along with the classics. My friend and I were quickly greeted and accompanied on our table. We sat there for 19 minutes and 46 seconds without a soul and asked if we needed something. We left the menus on the table and made our exit. I am an incredibly patient person and I understand the service industry, but I observed a minimum of 2 servers and a hostess without many occupied tables. To add injury insult, a few that came in 15 minutes after us got a server before we left. Ouch. I'm not disappointed.
The more I go to the Greene Turtle in Middletown, the more disappointed I become. The food selection is great, but the service is awful. My food was not only cold, my servers never checked on my table or brought us half of what we asked for. The kitchen was also out of the food that we had ordered, and rather then informing us of the shortage after ordering our appetizer, the food was never brought out to us at all, leaving us more hungry to leave the restaurant then before we came. I understand being busy, but if you do not have enough waitstaff, then people should not continued to be seated.
Our recent visit was disappointing compared to our previous experiences. The entrees arrived just a few minutes after the appetizer, leaving us no time to start enjoying it. The whole idea of an appetizer is to have something to munch on while you wait for the main dishes to come out. Additionally, our appetizer order was incorrect, and we had to wait for the missing item, which only arrived after our meals were served. To top it off, my son wanted to change the channel on the TV at our table, but none of the controls worked.
First of all.. they have a REAL turtle behind the bar. His name is Timmy and he’s cute. Dawn the manager is 10/10. We came to watch the games and there were so many different people requesting different games, and somehow they made it work and put on allthe games requested. The food is always good, and the beer is always cold. They have the BEST football Sunday deals. We’ll beback for sure.

Food is great but service is always extremely slow even if it’s empty. Waiting 5 minutes to get acknowledged at the door. 10 minutes for a drink you order with only 4 other people in the restaurant. Girl manager is awesome though. Extremely sweet and caring

Service was great food was ok. I got the cheese steak and it was just room temperature, would not order it again. Pretzels were great!

Servers were nice enough but nothing special. Same for the food.
