great local pub, nice well maintained pint, new publicans do an extraordinary task to make the place look smart. can get a lot of people on playdays, the atmosphere is always friendly. You can't really go in if you don't want to talk to someone.

on Saturday afternoon the pub for pre-match drinks visited with family members from royton, nottingham, newcastle and london. large beer and very friendly staff. excellent renter made us very welcome in a traditional local pub.
