Went to bar on 10/07/23 before a show bought a large Chardonnay and a soda water £10.50 returned the next night bought the same drinks £7.70 spoke to a young bar member and told him what I had paid the night before and the lady who served me was behind the bar. I assume he told her, she came outside where we were sitting and was on the attack her attitude was stinking and proceeded to tell me I was lucky as she only charged me for a small glass of wine the night before, strange I assumed that should have made what she charged me cheaper? Anyway she was not making sense to me seemed to be talking nonsense so I left it at that, went to bar, sone two drinks is now £9.90!!!!! I spoke to manager...

We called in for dinner before heading to the theater. The young Australian girl who served us was very polite and efficient. I ordered the gammon steak, which was supposed to come with a crispy egg, but I asked if I could have a poached egg rolled in panko breadcrumbs and deep fried instead. The waitress initially said no, so I ended up ordering the chicken goujons. However, she later came back and said the chef could make a normal fried egg, so I went ahead and ordered the gammon steak. Unfortunately, when the dish arrived, it had a deep fried egg that was crispy. It seems like the chef may have difficulty cooking a fried egg properly. I ended up eating the chips and what turned out to be...

As many reviewers have stated the proximity of this pub so close to The Kings theatre makes it an ideal place to go for a pre-theatre meal. It's a listed building and has all the charm you'd expect of a pub built at the beginning of the 20th Century. It's warm, welcoming, comfortable and it delivers that feel that only a real pub can do. The food is decent. The service friendly and efficient. Price is reasonable given the quality of fayre on offer and its location. The sound system could be doing with an upgrade though. We'd happily return the next time we're in for a show at The Kings and would have no hesitation popping in just for a drink of a Saturday afternoon, or evening.

I have visited this bar multiple times, usually at night on my way to a nearby music venue. Recently, my friends from England were staying in a city center hotel, so we decided to take them on a mini pub crawl. The Griffin was one of the stops I wanted to show them, as it always has a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the prices were typical for a city center pub. We were lucky to find a booth available, as they are usually full when I visit. We didn't eat there, as there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. This was my first time visiting since the bar was taken over, but it still maintains its traditional charm. Reserva una mesa ahora

We stumbled upon this great find while staying nearby and not very familiar with the area. The exterior of the restaurant looked like a charming old bar, and once inside, we found a great selection of beers and lagers, as well as a diverse range of ages among the patrons. Although we didn't have a chance to eat, the food looked fantastic. The place was bustling both times we visited, but we always managed to find a spot to sit or stand. The service was friendly and fast, making our experience even better.

Was refused entry on the basis that I was a fire hazard as I am a wheelchair user!!!! I had called ahead and checked to see if the venue was wheelchair accessible and advised enthusiastically that it was. The pub was busy however the doorman let a further 32 people in after refusing me entry. Thanks for ruining my evening! Will NOT be back
