The Guildhall Linen Exchange

saved the day. on a cool day looking for the center of dunfermline, I would say that this is the best place for lunch on a budget. the large interieur is very modern and tasteful and eating is great and tasty. my only grip is that the main dining area around the corner and hidden from the bar. only one problem when on your own faust and have to leave her table to order. I was there on Thursday afternoon and it was very busy. there is not much in the way of the competition, so this is probably the norm! anyway I liked it and I would go back happy.

not too sharp on eating in wetherspoons, but it seemed to be our best option. it was quite busy, but there were a few free tables. ordering over the app and the drinks arrived quickly, followed by eating about 5 minutes later. eating was not bad. the chips were on the tepid side. Happy to see that they had to try new ones! we cost our meals.

Was having a great night until one of the barmaids with an attitude accused our friend of smoking indoors (he doesn’t smoke) and demanded the whole table leave. Horrible service, employees are incredibly rude and discriminating. Go do any other pub in Dunfermline besides this...More

Just back from this place. Terrible experience. We had a meal and I ordered chicken. I had the first mouthful and had to spit it out as lots of small tiny splinter parts of bone. Second mouthful exactly the same. Told the waitress who said...More

Standard pub fare. No surprise there. We had breakfast and dinner. Ordered pancake with bacon, bacon was very fatty. Dinner took a while to arrive as they were busy.
