not locally to witney we were not aware of the hand and the shears until it was recommended to us for lunch when we were in the opposite on a cold winter day. quiet there, half this afternoon, and they placed us through the log burner who kept us very tortured. I had chicken and leckagepis and my wife had a sausage sandwich so that she would also have a place for apron pain and pumpkin. everything was really skurril, including the chips that were about the best we ever had. the torte was homemade and very fleshy, the brot of the sandwiches of my wife was also homemade and surprisingly very light. may they be back in the opposite, so soon they want to fall into dinner, we discover lobster on...
2 weeks ago had a beautiful roast with my family. the portions were very generous and also a large selection of veg. my man decided to roast the vegan (he is not vegan) just because of the many number of veg that she served on it - he loved it. we have deleted our teller and left the feeling really satisfied. the personal was beautiful and very courteous for my baby not and nephew. would recommend 100% to go here for a roast!
when we hadn't eaten here, we made a few dinners before we locked off. platz was very clean with courtesy and attentive employees. there was a good selection of dresses on the menu and both selected courses were very tasteful and well presented, and reasonable price. also a good selection of beers was available. would recommend someone looking for a quiet pub meal.
The restaurant was very welcoming, with Lydia providing a friendly and attentive service even though she was busy. The lunch menu was fantastic, we enjoyed the soup and sandwiches, and it was also a very dog-friendly establishment. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it.

my man and I just had a nice meal in the hand and in shears. the pub and the surrounding village are both charming and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. the food was delicious; we both had the vegan cheeseburger with hand cutting chips. we would definitely come back for another visit!
what an excellent pub. great location, warm and friendly staff and customers as well as 5 stars eat. sat there many times in the week and it was always perfect with a very cozy atmosphere. very recommend the steak ale and steak stilton cake and the tribute bier also went well down.
This restaurant offers amazing value for the price. The staff is very friendly and the location is lovely. You won't feel rushed, despite the slightly chaotic atmosphere with waitresses running all over the place. Overall, it was a great meal.
What a lovely meal and better than I expected. Visited the Hand a Shear a few times before and expecting something average. Tonight was a complete surprise. We had the Fish pie amazing and desert wow. Talk about upping their game. Well done

last minute 'date ' night out. nice that we are here. the food was incredible, the service was great and the price was also good! I can wait to come back and bring friends / families!
A really great roast. All the trimmings were really tasty too. Really enjoyed eating here.
