We stayed at this restaurant for a couple of nights while Christmas shopping in the Cotswolds and Oxford. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Lindsey, for the extra attention. The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well-equipped. The building is old, so expect wobbly, sloping floors and a quirky layout. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, with freshly prepared food using local ingredients. We couldn't find any faults with the food we had. It was good, wholesome fare.
Food ok, nothing amazing. Service annoying, 2 people repeating everything. Service charge really annoying. I saw nothing clearly stated on the menu that I would be charged 10%.
the booking was simple, online, good menu and delicious eating served in a timely way with friendly staff. my only negative comment is that they do not serve decaf coffee
Service and food were both excellent. My wife had chefs steak, I had lemon sole both were cooked perfectly. An excellent choice for a special occasion meal.

really nice meal and perfect place for our big group meet. nothing too much annoying and so welcoming for families with children of every age.
