The Historic Green Manor

This place was too over crowded for me, especially in this diseased filled Covid-19 time. What the HECK are they thinking? Many folks without masks on. Isn't this disease still spreading? However, the food was not bad. They had a mixture of healthy and unhealthy food choices. It was buffet style and all you can eat. The theme of this manor is antique style, but totally European. It is southern style cooking (fried chicken, ham, collard greens, corn bread, peach cobbler etc NO jerk chicken here, or stew peas and rice, fried plantains. ??????? All sugary drinks are available, but NO hot tea! What is up with these folks in the south? Don't they know how to serve hot tea with lemon? I guess I ha...

It's an excellent place to dine in. The staff are very accommodating and polite. The entire restaurant is a fire hazard, however. There's only one way in and one way out. It is always crowded. The whole building is wood frame. I've never seen fire extinguishers or signage to exit in case of fire. The restuarant has been there for decades and could use a painting. The walls are peeling with chips. Don't mean to put the establishment down, but they need to face reality. The food is excellent and I will be back. Thanks.

the second time I visited the state. the manager gave us a bit of history/ownership of the building through the generations, and the personal makes them always feel that they sit for a meal in their own home. always happy to visit my family here, and feel like they eat great food in their home of granny. enchanted, and we will be back safely

Came here for my first time for Thanksgiving 2021. Amazing food. Amazing place. The only problem is that the town this place is located has definitely gone downhill over the past few years.

It's all good from the first smell to the last peach tea, Arnold Palmer, or traditional sweet tea. The food is fresh, delicious, and cooked to southern perfection.
