The Historic Green Manor

Stop by for a quick lunch. Immediately welcomed by a gracious host. Staff is top notch. Very friendly and attentive. Restaurant is well laid out with a welcoming atmosphere. I sampled a little bit of everything from the hot bar. Fried chicken was the highlight of the meal. Great flavor, hot and fresh. I would give it a four out of five. Macaroni and cheese, baked spaghetti, candied, yams, green beans were all average at best and some were not heated all the way through. Dessert bar offered two types of cake, peach cobbler and banana pudding. Peach cobbler was the best option. The cakes were dry and flavorless. All things considered. I would go back, but would not make a special trip.

The atmosphere at this restaurant was perfect. The waitresses were courteous and very respectful. We love this restaurant and will be going back soon. The food was delicious and the price was just right at about $26.00 per person on Sundays. The people and staff were very friendly. The parking was great and maybe they will expand in the future. The restaurant was very clean and nice, I always love their good old fashioned soul food. I enjoy trying different restaurants and tasting good, season foods. The outside of the restaurant was very clean and neat, I love sitting outside. I can't wait to go back, this place was amazing.

This is my 88 year-old mother’s favorite place to bring the family together every year for Thanksgiving. She loves the variety of food and the professional and friendly staff. I wish the desserts were were “tastier” and more representative of the good ole South home cooking (potato pie, deep dish apple or peach cobbler with crust, banana pudding layered with bananas and Nilla wafers like grandma), but otherwise, everything is good.

One hidden gem on the menu is the crab salad, which is made with real crab meat and could easily steal the spotlight. I think we all should visit Green Manor. Today, we gathered there as a family for the holidays. The food was the center peice as we caught up with each other. Beautiful facility and perfect for large groups. Throw out the vegetable oil and cook that food with old school Crisco. That move will cement Green Manor in the history books.

This is the perfect place for delicious southern soul food! The dishes were fresh and flavorful, the staff was welcoming and professional (they greet you at the door), and they followed COVID protocols by wearing gloves at the buffet. This is the ideal spot for authentic southern comfort food!

beautiful place to get out when they're under 45. it seems like there are many older people eating. no problems. it's just not a place where I'd dive in. I need nice places with young profis. but eating was delicious. love the story.
