We are delighted with our Camillia Japonica 2.2m tree. John Korch, our expert garden design consultant, recommended Hortus Loci as the best plant nursery in Berkshire/Hampshire to find and buy good quality trees at a competitive price. At the nursery Adam was really helpful in assisting us in our choice from the several Camillia trees for sale. The professional and delightful delivery team of 'Doctor ' Steve and his 'Assistant ' Neil [both self-named after banter] moved the very heavy 110 litre pot with skill and care to the plant site and then gave some excellent advice for planting, ongoing maintenance and the 'maximisation ' of blooms.
The restaurant has a nice semi-outdoor seating area that is dog-friendly. The food was good, but the coffee was not so great and the service was very poor. We ordered two coffees and brownies at the counter but had to wait over 15 minutes for them to be served. The coffee arrived in small, thick drinking glasses with no handles, luckily it wasn't too hot. We had to ask for spoons, which took over 10 minutes to be brought to our table. Eventually, we went to the till area and they provided us with spoons right away, though one was still dirty.
The restaurant had delicious food, but the experience was overshadowed by extremely poor service. As we waited for our food, we had to ask for the water we had already paid for. While I understand that working in the food and hospitality industry can be challenging, it is never acceptable to raise your voice at a customer or speak negatively about them in front of others. This behavior was incredibly unprofessional.
Hobo Co in the shed is a lovely place for lunch or coffee and cake. Everything homemade and the ladies really friendly . Plenty of choice on where to sit and all very colourful. Even on a hot day shade can be found. The plant centre looked good as well and on wandering round saw a good selection of plants. Reserva una mesa ahora
excellent help and advice from camilla regarding the trees I wanted to buy. neil and dominic came to plant the trees. they are both very nice men and neil was very well known about the maintenance and placement of the trees. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back for more trees . thank you.
hortus loci is the most beautiful plant gardener. I needed many plants for a new garden, camilla could not have been more helpful to give me so much time and help. then they sent everything in 3 pallets to the iow. each plant came in top condition. I can't recommend it enough.
