We went here as a group of 10 after leaving organizing dinner till the night before and finding a lot of venues unable to fit out large group. As you can pay when you order or run a tab there were no 'splitting the bill' type issues that you may get elsewhere. Extensive beverage list including some I've not seen before, like lychee cider (yum). House wine was Janz. They had mulled cider available which wasn't hot enough or sweet enough but was still perfect on a freezing, rainy winter night. I should say at the beginning that this review and rating is as a pub and not the food as we didn’t eat there.This pub has a nice homey well-used ambience, with subdued lighting (which could be described as dingy or atmospheric depending on your point of view). The seating is comfortable with tables and chairs in addition to bar stools as against the more modern but less comfortable high stools and tables everywhere, while the back part of the bar is cosy with a fire for colder evenings and some comfortable settee seating. Our son is a regular at the homestead but this was our first visit. On one side of the bar there are a couple of 8 ball tables perfectly for family rivalry round, and an undercover outdoor courtyard. On the other side is the dining area with an awesome retro velvet lounge and lamps ( which I just loved ❤️) and booths and tables. The menu is mainly burgers, but they are a little bit different, really well priced and most importantly sooooo delicious!! But they do other stuff too, and so mouthwatering specials.AND if your like us, and you have grown up kids (well you know children over 18 ) they have $12 jugs . And often live music after 9. But the vibe is so chilled! So it's the perfect spot...
Love this place! I really like the atmosphere the drinks and the staff. My only recommendation is that the menu really lacks steak and the chips aren't that great unfortunately. I know that they are hand cut but you can tell by the chips left on the plate that many people feel the same way. They need to be thinner and crunchy! I think with a jazz up of the menu this place would be pumping out the food!

A burger with a side of fries (fries cost axtra!?) should at least fill a gap. Burger was small and overpriced. It was nice but so is a play centre burger. The bartender had an attitude all night. A dingey pub with a high opinion of itself is all i can describe it as. A poor attempt at dive chic
Keep in mind that this is a pub. The menu is limited but reasonable quality. The absolute high point was drinking local ciders sitting on the red velvet lounge setting. Good selection of beers and ciders in an eclectic setting
Lovely British-style pub with great atmosphere. Friendly staff, good food, nice selection of drinks. Seems to be popular with both families and students looking to solve the world's problems over a pint.
An interesting menu... Varied and something to suit everyone from small plates the obligatory chicken parmie, burgers, pizza, vegetarian and burgers .... go check it out !!

For the price of the food its ok. Weird atmosphere though. I felt like i was in a strangers living room. Weird ambience.
