However, when I returned a few hours later to return the unused items, the staff seemed disorganized, and the manager went to the back for ten minutes. I love the concept of The Honey Baked Ham for Thanksgiving, but unfortunately, this was my second year picking up their Thanksgiving dinner, and it just didn't meet my expectations. The frozen side dishes, when prepared according to the instructions, taste more like a TV dinner and are overly salty. The turkey has such a distinct flavor that it detracts from the overall meal, and again, it’s quite salty. The ham was just average. Overall, it felt like paying $150 for a banquet-style TV dinner for two, and it didn’t quite deliver.
I’m thrilled with the restaurant's extended holiday hours! I recently tried their Thanksgiving turkey and was really impressed with how they managed a minor issue on the holiday. I'm excited to come back for Christmas to try the bone-in spiral ham, which was simply delightful. The ham was incredibly tender, moist, sweet, and lean—definitely better than our usual Christmas ham. I think this might become our new favorite place for family holiday meals since it takes the stress out of preparing the main dish.
We had an outstanding experience with Jeff today, even though our time there was brief. The following day, we had planned an entire meal around his amazing chocolate cake, only to discover it wasn’t available. Jeff generously offered us a discount on our purchase to help alleviate our disappointment. It really felt like he valued our patronage, which was heartwarming. The honey-baked turkey at this restaurant was outstanding. Even though it was quite busy, the establishment was well-managed and the staff was well-prepared. All customers received their orders on time, and there were additional turkeys available for purchase. I bought two turkeys, pre-ordering one, and there were plenty more in stock. Both the customer service and the quality of the food were excellent.
I absolutely adore the ham sandwich here. It's always fresh and incredibly tasty. The honey-baked ham, along with the sides, is easy to prepare and makes for a fantastic family meal.
I ordered a chicken salad sandwich, but what I got was a grape salad sandwich with chicken. If they just reduced the number of grapes in the salad, it might actually be quite good.
