I love The Hornet as do several of my friends, and I go there often. It is very exciting to go to a restaurant that has so many options that are gluten free, and such a variety of items to choose from. I have loved the food, but lately there must have been a change of chefs, as the food has gotten greasier and the lettuce wrap that was supposed to have chicken had very little chicken and it was watery not at all what I had had before. It is fun and I am still a fan who will keep going there but very disappointed that the quality is not what it once was. Otherwise, I would have given it five stars. I would recommend The Hornet, but caution them about what to order.
We had lunch at this restaurant after a meeting near Coor's Field and chose to sit in the bar area. Our server was fantastic and engaged in pleasant conversation with us. I ordered the Broadway Dip along with sweet potato fries, and it was an excellent choice. The sandwich came with a delicious dip and a side of sweet mustard sauce. Although we arrived after the busy lunch rush, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. I love this part of Denver; it reminds me of Echo Park near Logan Street and Sunset Boulevard.
Good food. Fish and chips are some of the best in town. Crispy outside and moist fish inside. Great fries. Best bread pudding in town. Love the grilled Caesar. Great apps. One of our favorite moderately priced restaurants. Good variety of food. Short ribs are really good and much less expensive than the upscale places but equal in flavor and tenderness.
We went to grab brunch on a weekend. The music was so loud we were shouting at each other as were all the other tables. Even the person in our group who has hearing loss commented on how the music was way too loud. They did move us to another section of the restaurant which was much quieter. The food was good but the atmosphere was not desirable.

Don't let the construction on Broadway worry you—Hornet is OPEN! I enjoyed an outstanding Caesar salad featuring real anchovies, which was the best I've had in ages. The service was prompt and courteous. I appreciate the menu; it shows creativity and isn't just the typical offerings that you find at many other places.
We came here for a quick light lunch before our meetings started. Seemed like a good local place people can come and relax with simple food. Chicken wings were OK and my wife had lettuce wraps. Service was friendly and efficient.Food: 4/5

Superb quality burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches and fries. Reasonably priced, great view of the slopes and a lot of relaxing outdoor seating.Food: 5/5

Great place for supper. The food was wonderful and delicious. The server, Nuni, was superb. Excellent spot and we will return.
This hidden gem in the neighborhood was exactly what we needed to wrap up the week. We will definitely return!
