We had our son and daughter-in-law‘s post wedding brunch at the Hungry Monkey, and it was fabulous! The food was so delicious: all different muffins, breakfast, egg, and potato dishes, famous, stuffed French toast, the yummiest tuna melts, their signature, monkey bread, knots, and much more. They replenished the food regularly and there was lots to go around. Our guests were very impressed. The staff is professional and kind. And the owner, Jim and manager Jen were lovely to work with. Highly, highly recommend.
Cozy little spot for breakfast and brunch. However, the table turnover was slow and the front-of-house staff could have communicated better. The California Benedict was undercooked, overly covered in hollandaise, missing the advertised chipotle, and used a packaged guacamole that didn't taste fresh. On a positive note, the pancakes were good, and the server was friendly.
We hosted a post Wedding brunch at The Hungry Monkey and couldn't be happier even our friends and family raved about the food, vibe and staff. Jen and Jim are incredibly hard working and prioritize the customer. Definitely visit The Hungry Monkey during your next visit to Newport. And order the Monkey Melt you won't be disappointed!
I visit this restaurant almost every Saturday morning with my daughter, and we absolutely love the food and the staff. As for parking, be aware that the street parking is shared with various businesses in the area, so it's best to arrive early. The restaurant is conveniently located right next to the police station.

The Hungry Monkey is a reliable brunch spot with good-sized portions. The food arrived quickly as it wasn't busy during my visit. However, I was confused by how bland the syrup for the pancakes was. I'm not sure if this is normal, but just a heads up.
Came twice in 3 days for breakfast while in town visiting family. If that doesn't say it I don't know what does. Loved everything we tried but definitely a go to for biscuits and gravy.
I had a pleasant experience here, and they offered some gluten-free options for my wife.
Good was fantastic! Really down to earth. Chorico hash was great!
